Where Light Restores and Values Transform

At Brooks & Birch, we are dedicated to guiding individuals, couples, and families toward restoration and healing. Many people grapple with feelings of disconnection within unhealthy relationships, struggle with church-related hurts, and feel lost in navigating their faith and values. Our mission centres on:

RESTORING WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE BELIEVE AND WHAT WE BELIEVE IN.

We offer one-on-one counselling and group workshops designed to help you uncover your core values, rediscover your authentic self, and find clarity in your relationships and beliefs. Our work includes values mapping, counselling for religious and spiritual abuse, youth and young adult counselling, and restorative marriage work — including honest conversations about when to heal together and when to step away from a unhealthy relationship.

We believe healing is more than recovery — it’s restoration.

What Does Restoration Look Like?

Restoration can take many forms as you begin on your journey toward healing, such as discovering your core values which is essential in living authentically from the inside out, additionally, addressing past wounds caused by trauma and/or religious experiences, and fostering healthier, more fulfilling relationships. At Brooks & Birch, we guide you through these transformative processes, empowering you to envision and pursue a life filled with healing, authenticity, purpose, and meaningful connections.

Elizabeth Campbell RTC

Elizabeth Campbell is a trauma counselor, author and co-founder of Brooks & Birch. Her work centers on helping people heal the parts of themselves that have been wounded by life — whether through trauma, anxiety, or painful experiences within faith communities.

She has spent years walking with individuals who’ve been deeply hurt by the church — those carrying the heavy mix of confusion, shame, and loss that often follows religious abuse.

Elizabeth helps clients work through those messages, rebuild trust, and rediscover a faith or spirituality that feels safe, authentic, and life-giving again.

Elizabeth also has a heart for teens and young adults — those figuring out who they are, what they believe, and how to handle the pressure of growing up in a complicated world. Her background includes training in trauma therapy, youth and adolescent mental health, self-harm support, and play therapy with children.

Elizabeth’s approach is relational and real — meeting clients where they are, without judgment or pretense. She creates a space to be honest about what’s hard, to heal what’s been heavy, and to reconnect with the steady, grounded sense of self that’s been there all along.
